About Us And Our Products
Electric Pepper Company
Stemming from a passion for cultivating and concocting various spice rubs, dry rubs, and hot sauces, we realized that we were making sauces and rubs that were superior to the store-bought varieties available.
Our sauces are made fresh, and we only use all-natural ingredients. You will be able to taste the difference that this makes.
We organically grow peppers and tomatoes on a 20-acre farm in Pennsylvania.
We never use any chemicals of any kind.
We also smoke our peppers and ingredients using organic apple wood from our apple orchards.
Our hot sauces and spice products are the hottest available and we offer a wide range of products from sauces made from the hottest pepper in the world (Carolina Reaper) to mild chipotle smoked pepper hot sauces. If you are looking for hot sauces, chili powders or chili peppers then look no further.
If you can handle the heat, you've come to the right place. At Electric Pepper Company, we love all things hot and spicy and want to share our love for them with you. Our Mission is to deliver natural hot and spicy products at reasonable prices.

Our Recipes Are Award Winning!
Multiple Wins Of The Fiery Food Challenge
The Fiery Food Challenge pits products from across the US and internationally against one another in more than 90 categories. Professional judges evaluate hundreds of sauces, salsas and other spicy treats and award first, second and third place prizes in each category. Awards are proudly displayed at ZestFest, a spicy, zesty and flavorful food event held the same week as the Fiery Food Challenge at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
We Have Our Share Of Scovies Too
The Scovie Awards evolved from the National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show after 1996 when the contest was called “The Fiery Foods Challenge.” Originally, it was part of the show and even had a People’s Choice Award that was voted on by the general public. “The Scovie Awards” are name in honor of the memory of Wilbur Scoville, the scientist who invented the Scoville Organoleptic Test in 1912 to determine the heat scale of chile peppers.
Some Of Our 2023 Crop Picked On October 4, 2023
Fresh Bhut Jolokia Ghost Peppers
Referencing the ghost pepper against a Jalapeño reference point, many people feel the jalapeño is rather hot, but in the world of the Scoville scale, it’s a relatively mild to medium chili pepper at about 2,500 to 8,000 Scoville heat units. Now multiply the jalapeños heat by up to 400 and that is the potential of ghost pepper at over 855,000 Scoville heat units. No lie, it’s so spicy that the Indian army has made it into military-grade smoke bombs and local residents smear the ghost pepper on fences and walls to keep wild elephants from entering certain areas.
Fresh Trinidad Scorpion Peppers
Like all super-hots of this caliber, the Trinidad Scorpion is like a culinary solar flare – not to be eaten raw or without a lot of dilution. They can reach just above 1.4 million Scoville heat units at their peak. There are many Scorpions that fall within the ghost pepper heat range of 800,000 to 1,000,000 Scoville heat units. Compared to a Jalapeño as a reference point, that’s about 585 times hotter! The Scorpion can reach near Carolina Reaper heights – close to 2 million Scoville heat units, though that’s not the norm. They tend to sit around 1.2 to 1.3 million Scoville heat units more often than not, and they rarely fall below 1.2 million. Take extreme caution in their handling.
Fresh Carolina Reaper Peppers
The Carolina Reaper is the current official hottest pepper in the world. How hot? With a heat range from 1,400,000 to 2,200,000 Scoville heat units, the Reaper is hotter than many defensive pepper sprays and it dwarfs many of the other super-hots among the hottest chilies. The Carolina Reaper is more than 880 times hotter than a Jalapeno! That’s insanity in edible form. Yet, behind this extreme super-heat is a surprising sweetness that’s perfect for enhancing hot sauces and other spicy foods.
Dried Carolina Reaper Peppers
Our dried Carolina Reaper peppers are the perfect addition to any spice lover’s pantry. These peppers pack a serious punch with their intense heat and bold flavor. So if you’re looking for heat, these peppers definitely deliver. But it’s not just about the heat, the flavor of these peppers is also truly unique. They have a sweet and fruity taste, with a hint of smokiness and a spicy kick that lingers on the tongue. Our peppers are slow dried to preserve the heat and flavor. Whether you’re using them to add a spicy kick to your cooking or just want to challenge yourself to see how much heat you can handle, our dried Carolina Reaper peppers are sure to satisfy.

Even so, chili pepper aficionados are locked in intense rivalry to create the world's hottest pepper. Since 2011, when the competition began to heat up (pun intended), the title of hottest pepper has changed hands a number of times as new crosses and genetic mutations have emerged. In 2013, the Carolina Reaper was named by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's hottest pepper and peaks at 2,200,000 Scoville heat units.
